Victoria Vipers Spring Season

Hello ball hockey families. 

 
Registration for spring ball hockey is now open! Here is all the essential information you need to register for what promises to be an exciting 2025 Spring Season of Victoria Vipers ball hockey. 

 

Important Dates

• November 15- December 15 Early Bird Registration 

• December 16 - January 15 Regular Registration 

• January 15 - Final payments need to be made by January 15 unless otherwise arranged with the Registrar. Failure to make full payment could risk your player being removed from registration.

• All registrations must be completed online through RAMP Interactive at https://www.rampregistrations.com/login?v3=c7b8174672. 

• Register your child in the correct division based on their birth year as outlined below

Registering 3 or more players in your family? Contact our Registrar at registrar@victoriavipers.ca and ask about our “Large Family Discount.” 

Head Coaches from the 2024 Spring Season are eligible for a discount. Please contact our Registrar at registrar@victoriavipers.ca to facilitate. 

All registration fees have a $50 administration fee should your player withdraw early. Please review our Refund Policies. 

 

Late Registrations 

Registration for the 2025 Spring Season will close at midnight on January 15. Registrations will not be considered after that date. Registering by the deadline ensures your child will be playing and helps avoid disappointment if we are oversubscribed and need to create waitlists. As well, the league needs to know how many players to expect, so we can select amazing coaching staff and secure floor time.

 

Waitlists 

If you are registering and only see a WAITLIST registration displayed, then the division is full. If you would like to be on the waitlist, continue with the registration and pay nothing. If your player is accepted off the waitlist, then you will have 3 days to make final payment and secure a placement for your player. 

 

IMPORTANT Goalie Update 

Due to the high demand for goalie positions, the Victoria Vipers will be limiting the number of goalies to one per team for U11-U20. For example, if there are six U15 teams, only six goalies will be drafted. Prior to the start of the season, goalies will be assessed, ranked in order and those goalies who are not draft eligible will be given an opportunity to be assessed as a player. Our ball hockey season is only three months, with a limited number of games and practices. By drafting one goalie per team, we can ensure each goalie receives the most attention and opportunities for development. 

 

Any goalie who registers but is not drafted, will have the following options: 

1. Play as a player  
2. Receive a full refund 

 

Financial Assistance  

The following are two agencies most used by our members and new for financial assistance:  

• Canadian Tire Jumpstart  

• Athletics4Kids - new for the Victoria Vipers this year (provide up to $450 per child per year) 

• KidSport British Columbia - currently KidSport is not providing financial assistance to ball hockey this season   

  

Apply early for assistance as it can take 4-8 weeks to process your application. Applications should be submitted to the agency no later than December 31st. All fees for the season must be reconciled, in full, prior to the March draft dates. 

Once you have applied, please email a scan or photocopy of your financial assistance application to our registrar (registrar@victoriavipers.ca). Unfortunately, we are unable to request funding on your behalf. When you are applying for funding, please use our early bird rates (Tykes $100; all other divisions $245) that we provide financial assistance agencies. All information will be kept strictly confidential. 

IMPORTANT: if you are applying for assistance, you still need to register your player online and indicate on the form that you will be applying for funding. You will be required to pay the $50 fee at the time of your online registration. If you receive full funding, the $50 will be refunded back to you once we receive the full payment. We will follow up in the new year and confirm once funding is received.
